Job Description

Program Summary
NOVA III is a DDAP licensed10-bed residential program that employs the integrated dual disorder treatment model to structure the provision of services. This program provides residential treatment services to medically challenged people with mental health issues and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. NOVA III provides 24-hour nursing and residential staff to provide optimum care and medical attention creating a recovery-oriented treatment environment in which the participant's mental illness, substance abuse disorder and medical condition are addressed in a coordinated, comprehensive manner.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  1. Maintains respectful and trauma-informed interactions with all residents, staff, family members and visitors at all times
  2. Partners with individuals to develop their treatment/recovery goals in relation to their medical, psychiatric and substance abuse disorders
  3. Facilitates and documents three to four group therapy sessions per week
  4. Develops and revises as required individualized treatment/recovery plans based on participants' goals for case load of up to eight individuals
  5. Evaluates residents' progress and reports to funders/referral sources as requested through authorization/re- authorization reviews
  6. Facilitates and documents individual sessions with assigned individuals at least once weekly
  7. Completes comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluation for new residents
  8. Assists in residents' aftercare planning and follow-up
  9. Participates actively in clinical case conferences as a member of the individual's support team
  10. Provides clinical guidance to nursing and support staff
  11. Provides crisis intervention as needed
  12. Attends staff meetings, shift meetings and clinical supervision as assigned
  13. Other job related duties as assigned
 
Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders
  • Experience in leading therapeutic groups
  • Experience working with individuals with significant trauma histories
  • Ability to understand and function within a trauma-informed environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • A valid driver's license is required
