Job Description

Effective 12/1/18 - for FULL-TIME WORK ONLY - $500 Sign-on Bonus offered!  Get $250.00 after successfully completing New Hire Orientation.  Then another $250.00 after 1st 90days of continued, successful employment!!   PART-TIME WORK ONLY - $300 Sign-on Bonus offered!  Get $150.00 after successfully completing New Hire Orientation.  Then another $150.00 after  1st 90 days of continued, successful employment!!

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN THE LEHIGH VALLEY AREA, APPROXIMATELY 60 MILES NORTH OF PHILADELPHIA, PA.


Job Summary
We seek to hire full-time, part-time and on-call (as needed) staff. Competitive salary provided with Comprehensive benefits package offered for full-time work only.

The On Our Way program helps young adults diagnosed with ID and autism to develop skills necessary to achieve success and satisfaction in the community.  Each individual has unique strengths, needs and preferences that must be considered and supported in all interactions.

Duties/Responsabilities:

  • Staff will promote the individual's ability to live happily, healthily and safely in the community. 
  • Provides personal care, as needed, to maintain their health and appropriate public appearance. 
    • This may include bathing, diapering, tooth brushing and other personal care.
  • Implements supportive interventions, especially in times of crisis, such as, episodes of self-injurious behavior and aggression.

General Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma/GED accepted, Bachelor's degree in social work, education, sociology, psychology or another related field preferred. 
  • Prior experience in the human service, education or rehabilitation field is desired.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic.
  • Good interpersonal skills and good oral/written communication skills. 
  • Should be reliable, consistent, flexible and willing to learn creative strategies to support adolescents and young adults with disabilities. 
  • Maturity and sound judgment to provide appropriate guidance and intervention during crisis situations, required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Driver's License to receive consideration.
