Prevention Intervention Assistant
Prevention Intervention Responsibilities:
  1. Meet with the Prevention Intervention Specialist to develop daily activities.
  2. Provide activities for children age birth to twelve years old.
  3. Provide structure and supervision in the Prevention Center.
  4. Facilitate structured daily pre-school activities.
  5. Utilize Family House approved discipline methods.
  6. Nurture children with attention and affection
  7. Check children cubbies daily for appropriate supplies
  8. Create a cheerful environment.
  9. Take children for walks and outdoor play.
    Childcare Responsibilities:
    L Change Diapers
  10. Feed Infants
  11. Provide and assist children with snack and lunch time.
  12. Provide a safe and healthy environment.
  13. Check Prevention Intervention Center supplies daily
    Parent Liaison Responsibilities:
  14. Discuss any concerns regarding a child with child's mother and Prevention Intervention Specialist.
  15. Contact parent to assure all daily supplies are in the child's cubbies.
  16. Discuss with Prevention Specialist and Parent any special needs of the child (ren).
    Other Responsibilities:
  17. Document and discuss any concerns regarding the children or parents with the Prevention/ Intervention Specialist.
  18. Attend supervision with Prevention/ Intervention Specialist assigned.
  19. Attend staff monthly staff meeting.
  20. Assigned by the Director/Child Development Specialist to insure the continuity of care and foster a supportive environment for growth.

Requirements:
High School Diploma with 1 year experience working with early childhood development or related field- from birth to age five. Successful candidates must secure and maintain required background checks within 30 days of employment. Valid PA driver's license.
