Job Description

The RHD Children's Outreach Services Program (COSP), a division of Resources for Human Development, Inc. (RHD) provides intensive community-based services to emotionally or developmentally challenged children and adolescents (from birth to age 21). Service needs and treatment recommendations are based on team decisions to ensure that all clinical, educational, and social issues are identified.

COSP seeks a Part-time Mobile Therapist to work with children and their families in a non-office setting.

Job Duties and Activities:

  • The Mobile Therapist will provide individual and /or family therapy on clinical cases, develop   treatment plans, goals and methods of intervention for the client recommendations made in conjunction with family and team members. 
  • Consult with family members and clinical team (inter and intra-agency) to implement ongoing treatment interventions. 
  • Accountable for completion and timely submission of all documentation required for insurance approvals.

Professional Requirements:

  • A licensed mental health clinician (psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed professional counselors (LPC), and/or licensed clinical social workers (LCSW).
  • If not licensed, must possess a Master's Degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline (Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychiatric Nursing, and Marriage and Family therapy). In order for a degree to count as a mental health degree, the degree must contain at least (12) credit hours in core behavioral health coursework (individual, group and family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, crisis counseling, abnormal psychology, psychopathology, assessment, child development, personality theory, psychotherapy lab, clinical practicum, etc.).  No more than three (3) of these twelve (12) credit hours can be derived from a supervised clinical mental health practicum experience (teaching/education/other non-clinical practicum experiences will not count). Mobile Therapists must have formal training in the provision of psychotherapy.
  • At least one (1) year verified post-Masters experience providing psychotherapy/ counseling to children.
  • This position requires current Child Abuse, Criminal and FBI clearances within 90 days of hire.

Competitive rate of pay provided: $29.00 - $30.00/hr
