Maintenance Worker
 
Center for Creative Works in Wynnewood PA seeks a Maintenance Worker to handle janitorial duties in our building in Wynnewood. Center for Creative Works is a unique supported art studio in Wynnewood fostering and mentoring the professional development of adult artists with intellectual disabilities.
 
The maintenance worker position at the Center for Creative Works maintains cleanliness of our facility working in the hours after our operating schedule. This position requires someone with a track record of handling a medium sized facility five days a week. Cleaning duties include floors, sinks bathrooms and trash removal from programming areas as well as housekeeping, vacuuming and trash removal from office areas.  To learn more about the organization:
 
Required Duties:
  • Perform cleaning duties at the end of programming days at CCW
  • Maintain all programming and office areas of the building
  • Minor non-janitorial maintenance work when needed
  • Use appropriate materials to maintain various surfaces
  • Complete cleaning tasks as outlined on cleaning schedule
  • Communicate with Fadmin on supply needs
  • Inventory cleaning "cage" for supplies on a regular basis
  • Do a monthly "deep cleaning" .
  • Stock bathrooms and other areas with paper towels/soap/ hand sanitizer
  • Be available to work occasionally on a Saturday if needed.
  • Be responsible for securing building (locking all doors) at the end of shift
  • Keep parking lot and upkeep area free of trash.
  • Remove trash from building
 
 
Candidates must possess the following sets of qualifications: 
  • Experience in handling a medium sized facility.
  • Sense of personal responsibility and reliability
  • Knowledge of various types of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to carry out physical work including carrying euipment, moving furniture, bending and stooping.
  • Ability to work evenings / after 3:30
