Job Description

The Human Resources Manager will manage, design, implement, and provide supervision with various HR initiatives. This position will act as a point person for HR & employee relation issues work closely with corporate HR & risk management and various staff persons, maintain and manage employee files, maintain & manage network's contracts/agreements, coordinate new-hire orientations, trainings, and continuing education, and monitor, maintain, and measure the network's adherence to its corporate compliance policy. HR Manager supervises the Talent Acquisition Coordinator in the day-to-day management of the overall recruitment initiatives for the network. In addition will manage and monitor processes and procedures that support FPCN privileging & credentialing compliance.

Essential Duties and Functions

  • Provide consultation and HR expertise to the Health Center Management and Staff, with a focus on employment practices and procedures, HR policies, compliance, talent management, and performance management.
  • Provide performance management guidance to line management and ensure principles and practices are applied consistently throughout the network (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Assist centers with workforce retention initiatives by analyzing trends and use of human resources metrics and strategies to recommend and develop solutions, policies, processes, and practices.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with supervisor and Legal Department as needed.
  • Act as neutral, objective third-party resource for employees and/or management when needed to ensure that all perspectives are heard and considered.
  • Collaborates with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Support and collaborate with RHD corporate office but not limited to: AAP Specialists and Program Directors in implementation of Affirmative Action Plans; Benefits department staff in communicating and working with employees on benefit related matters; Payroll if efforts to address overall payroll and workforce issues; and Learning and Development to address employee development, organizational development issues, etc.
  • Supervise the Human Resource Coordinator
  • Coordinate annual performance appraisal process
  • Coordinate new hires and annual and continuing education trainings for the network (ie: OSHA, HIPAA, blood borne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, etc...)
  • Track & Report training needs to network management
  • Maintain records and database for the Network's operational contracts, affiliation agreements, and memorandums of understanding (including but not limited to vendors, physicians, specialists, hospitals, etc...)
  • Gather and track network-wide HR specific metrics.
  • Consult with management to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws regarding personnel
  • Serve on the RHD Corporate Compliance Committee

Qualifications

    • 5 years in Human Resources field, preferably in an healthcare environment
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred
    • Excellent organizational skills to manage numerous activities
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office, and databases with willingness to learn all computer systems.
    • Unconditional ability to maintain HIPAA regulations
