Job Description

The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for processing AP documents (check requests) in the coordinators queue after reviewing them for accuracy, validity and adherence to company policies investigating discrepancies in a paperless environment. Provide AP customer service as Point Person for assigned programs/units.

 
Essential Position Functions
  • Audit and review AP documents for accuracy, validity and adherence to GAAP and company policies. Investigate discrepancies and take corrective actions.
  • Processing check requests and invoices in a paperless environment.
  • Research vendor payment history and reconcile vendor statements.
  • Provide good customer service by building a rapport with RHD employees and units by providing courteous and timely customer service.
  • Act as point person and accounts payable mentor for assigned regional divisions.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • Detail oriented, yet has the ability to see "the big picture" and possess a solid understanding of Accounts Payable processes and their impact.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent Accounts Payable experience in a high volume, accuracy oriented paperless atmosphere is a must. Outstanding data entry skills are crucial. Will consider a recent college graduate with a degree in a Financial field.
  • Technical fluency with an advanced beginner or higher level in Excel and a working understanding in the use of Microsoft Outlook. The ability to quickly gain a thorough working knowledge of a broad range of technology and software is vital in this role.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate in a professional and effective manner in both written and oral forms is essential.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under and meet strict deadlines individually and in a team environment.

  • Patience and understanding.
 
Position Notes:
  • Open office environment with standard equipment.
  • This position requires working at a computer and sitting at a desk for an extended time.
  • May require periodic additional hours to meet deadlines.
  • Reports directly to the Assistant Manager of Accounts Payable
