Revenue Cycle Manager - Northeast Division

Position Summary
Resources for Human Development is a national human services nonprofit with the broadest possible service mission, and specializes in creating innovative, quality services that support people of all abilities wherever the need exists.

The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for ensuring complete, timely, and accurate billing, collections, claims resolution, revenue recognition and cash application for a diverse group of social services programs.  The Manager will supervise billing/claims resolution and cash application staff, overseeing all day-to-day operations.  Under the direction of the Divisional Revenue Cycle Director, the Manager will partner with program, divisional, and corporate staff to ensure collection of receivables for all services provided.  The Manager is responsible for troubleshooting system and billing issues and analyzing revenue and receivables.
Essential Duties and Functions
  • Charge and Claim Processing
  • Cash Application
  • Claim Resolution
  • Documenting billing and accounts receivable procedures in a clear precise format
  • Make recommendations for process improvements and assist in implementation of recommendations
  • Identify billing issues and collaborate with program, division, and corporate EHR team to resolve
  • Create and run reports to analyze billing and accounts receivable trends and report on the progress, results, and conclusions reached
  • Maintain Fee Schedules in billing software system
  • Perform process reviews and recommend/implement system changes
  • Coordinate utilization reporting
  • Provide support to future Netsmart myAvatar system implementations
  • Hire and supervise direct reports, including work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, motivating employees to achieve peak productivity and performance, and development of billing staff
  • Assist with auditing program charts and billing records to assure compliance with funder and licensing requirements.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years work experience in billing and accounts receivable for healthcare and/or mental health OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1 year direct supervisory experience with demonstrated team-building abilities
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proven track record for improving process efficiencies and solving problems
  • Ability to establish priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced open environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to utilize multiple sources of information to determine solutions
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of staff
  • Self-starter with ability to take initiative and accept ownership and responsibility for assigned projects
  • Experience with Netsmart Avatar application is a plus.
  • Driver's License and the ability to travel within the Divisional geographic area required
