Job Description


The Licensed Clinical Consultant is responsible for oversight of therapeutic services to individual served. She/he will provide effective individual and group therapy (short and long-term) to provide direction necessary to enable persons with developmental disabilities to maintain skills that will foster personal growth and positive outcomes. The Licensed Clinical Consultant will be responsible for keeping detailed documentation for all clients ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for the health, safety and emotional support of the individuals being served. The position is flexible Part-Time 20-25 hours a week. 


* Ensure that all treatment methodologies are evidence based and reflect the most recent research findings that is trauma-focused/trauma-informed treatment with the dually diagnosed population (MH/IDD)

* Conduct effective individual and group therapy (short and long-term) To provide direction necessary to enable persons with developmental disabilities to maintain skills that will foster personal growth and independence

* Conduct functional behavior assessments and recommend positive behavior supports for adults with Developmental Disabilities with problematic sexual behaviors and other related disorders.

* Work with Circle of Support (COS) and family, natural supports, providers, and external consultants to determine and implement individualized person-centered planning and goal identification

* Actively participate in team planning, service development, implementation and evaluation

* Collaborate with individuals (and staff) in assessing their needs, develop treatment goals, objectives, methodologies, timeliness, and evaluate progress toward goals.

* Design, monitor and evaluate psychological/behavioral treatment programs in cooperation with other members of the team

* Demonstrate effectiveness in decreasing maladaptive behaviors (data driven).

* Support in crisis situations in home and community

* Effectively manage a caseload, timely and accurate documentation

* Provide assistance in staff training and crisis intervention services related to psychological or behavioral treatment as indicated

* Develop and implement continuing education trainings with the goal of developing staff's skills

* Participate in interdisciplinary staffing meetings and other pertinent individuals and staff meetings

* Ensure psychological services meet agency, state and federal, and other pertinent standards and policies and keeps current with applicable laws and regulations

* Locate, obtain and coordinate services outside and inside the RHD Corporate Clinical Team as needed

* Manage service authorization submission process (with MCOs) & associated clinical documentation

* Participate in agency internal incident review committee


* Master's Degree in a human service field required (e.g. Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Clinical Psychology)

* Active unrestricted licensed in TN required or out of state licensed with active application for the State of TN (LCSW; LPC, LP or LMFT)

* Experience working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities with problematic sexual behaviors highly desired

* Professional membership with NADD and/or ATSA
